The ordering process for a new Empacher boat is quite simple considering the boats are custom made for you in Germany and shipped to the United States. To start the process, fill an Empacher Boat Specification Sheet. Empacher North America is happy to help if you have any questions. To complete the order process, you will need to pay 30% of the boat costs (invoiced from Empacher Germany and balance due 30 days before shipment). From that point on, your boat will be built, assembled and rigged to your specifications. If you decide you want to make changes to the riggers or accessories early on in the process, that can usually be accommodated. You are committed to your mold choice, though, because the hull is being made especially for you.
To order a boat, have it custom built and receive it from Germany, count on six months. However, the timeline may vary depending on the factory and shipping schedule.
Once completed, the boats are shipped from Germany to the United States in a container that arrives on the East Coast, usually Newark, NJ. Once it clears customs, which takes a few days, the container is then transported to its final destination. The boats are unloaded by an experienced staff. They are then available for pick-up. It is up to the customer to pick up the boats. If transportation to other locations is required, we are happy to help coordinate, but it is the responsibility of the customer to cover the costs.
